After the disappointment of the cup, we returned to league matches knowing that we had already won the league title. The Falcon played at home to the Rose and Crown, Hornsea. We ended up winning with a comfortable score of 8-3.

The Falcon played in the first round of the Stan Dawson Cup. This is played totally as a team game and includes all the teams from both the A and B leagues. The Falcon was drawn to play against three A league sides at out venue which was the Dacre Arms, Brandesburton. In the first round we faced the Hornsea Ex Serviceman's Club. Despite being a very even game, some poor finishing let us down and we were beaten 2-1, so ending our particiaption in the cup.

This week The Falcon was away to the Duke of York, Skirlaugh A team. The Falcon ended up 8-3 winners.
This completes the scheduled league games. The organisers have added an extra four league games to the end of the season, so that the B league ends at the same time as the A league. The Falcon is however already 50 points clear of the second team and so we have already won the division title.

We returned to league matches with a home match in which The Falcon faced the Duke of York B, Skirlaugh.
It was nearly a walkover as the Falcon won 10-1

The team had qualified for another cup final! The John Smith's cup was played at the Rose and Crown Hornsea and featured a final between Falcon Inn and Duke of York Skirlaugh 'A'. In a tight affair our team were 3-2 down in a best of 7 game. However, the final 2 players held their nerve and the team emerged victorious winning 4-3 to take the cup.

The team played in the semi-finals and final of the Darley Cup at the Blue Bell, Old Ellerby. This is a best of 7 singles 501 competition. In the semis we were drawn against Duke of York 'B' Skirlaugh who we beat 4-2. In the final we played Travellers Rest, Long Riston which we won 4-0, with the first four players all winning. Well done to one and all.
