Thursday 12th April 2012
The ladies were at home to The ladies of The Ex Servicemens last night and although they only had 5 players they gave us a good run for our money. All they ladies from both teams played well, Pat started us off well with a good win, we lost the next game but Carol and Mary pulled back the next two. Clare was really unfortunate to lose the next, playing Jackie Gordon who was in great form. We won the next leg by default, so we went into the double with a score of 4-2
Jackie and Pat started well and Pat finished again winning the point. Clare and Nikkiki got the next point Clare finishing on double 1. Next Carol and Linda took on Jackie again and although it was 2 against 1 they could not manage to beat her. So it was a winning score for the ladies of 6-3. Highest average was Carol (49.2) highest score Nikki (105) Highest checkout Hannah (20). We have no matches for 2 weeks when we will be away to the Double Dutch.

Thursday 5th April 2012
The ladies were away at the Black Swan last night, although the team played really well the singles proved to be a bit of a disappointment with only Clare winning a point for us, so we went into the doubles with a losing score of 5-1. We did fair a bit better in the doubles Carol and Nikki won the first game, Nikki finishing on double 3. We dropped the second game but Pat and Hannah pulled it out of the bag for us in the last game, Pat finished on double 1. So it was a disappointing 6-3 score at the finish but not to worry we are at home next week to the Ex Servicemens so why not come down and support us. Top average Carol (46.2) Highest score Nikki (115) Highest checkout Nikki (6)

Thursday 29th March 2012
The ladies had a rearranged match last night at The Brands Club and at last after 13 matches finishing with a score line of 5-4 or 4-5 we achieved a different score line. Hannah started us off with a good win, Carol was next but messed up big style and lost the game. Jean pulled it back for us followed by Pat who played a fantastic game getting a finish and she was highest average of the night. Mary played next and she was up against a very high scoring player but when it came to the double she excelled and checked out on 45. Clare was so unlucky in game 6 but with a score after the individuals of 4-2 to the Falcon, we were in good spirits.
We lost the 1st doubles match but Nikki and Hannah played next and got the point, Nikki finishing on double 1. Last up was Jean and Carol, the team had already won but the next game would make the difference between winning 5-4 (again) or 6-3. They really made hard work of it but eventually Jean got the double 1 so the final score was 6-3 to the Falcon ladies. Top average Pat (56.3) Highest checkout Mary (45) Highest score Clare (99)
Next week we are away to The Black Swan

Thursday 22nd March 2012
The ladies were at home to Brandsburton 'A' last night and they didn't disappoint. Althought they dropped the first point, they went on to get the next 5 so it's a great well done to Hannah finishing on 30, Clare on double 2, Jean on 24, Mary on double 1 and Carol on16. So we had won the match after the individuals and we hoped for a different score line than 5-4, but unfortunately it was not to be. The ladies from the Brands Club really upped their game and they managed to get the next three doubles so once again it was a score line of 5-4 to the Falcon ladies. Well Done. The ladies are all playing really well and really coming to form. Mary had both the top average (58.5) and highest score (115) Hannah had the highest checkout (30)

Thursday 15th March 2012
The ladies were away to The Board Inn last night, no prizes for guessing what the score line was, oh yes, once again 5-4, but ast least we broke our duck.
Jackie was first up and was very unlucky to lose the point. Clare was up next and returned to form in great style getting the next point. Jean got the third point, playing well once again. Pat was up fourth but was just beaten to the finish. Carol was next and won the point (about time she did something worthwhile) Last up was Hannah, our pocket rocket, who won again. So it was looking good for us to secure a win this week as we only needed to win 1 more point. Unfortunately the ladies of the Board Inn had other ideas and they took the next two doubles games, so once again it was all on the last game, lady luck was on our side this week and Jackie and Hannah got the last point for us so it was a win for the Falcon ladies final score 5-4. Top average was Carol (51.9) Top score Carol (again) 119 Highest Finish was Hannah on 47
Next week we are at home to Brands 'A'. Why not come and support us?

Thursday 8th March 2012
The ladies were in a cup match last night, playing Leven Club. We should have been playing away but due to unforseen circumstances we had to hold the match at home. As always the cup matches are 5 games each game has 3sets of doubles. Unfortunately the Falcon ladies were lost the match in 3straight games. Hannah and Linda played the 4th game which they won but it was too late. The ladies all played really well and the scores was pretty even all the way down but he Leven Ladies are top of the league and obviously they are all good players. We did have a good night with a lot of laughs. Next week we are away to Board Inn at Skipsea.

Thursday 1st March 2012
The ladies were at home last night to the Rose and Crown, (they were the Pike and Heron, but have moved venues). It was looking rather dire at first as Linda was only one to claim a point in the individuals, this was despite some excellent scoring by all the team but particularly Jackie who brought in a couple of scores of over a hundred. So with a very sorry score line for us of 5-1 we had everything to do in the doubles.
Jean and Clare played 1st and brought home a very welcome win, Jean finishing on 30. Next it was landlady Julie and Pat, they also got the point won by Julie. Last up was Mary and Jackie, both had fantastic scores and Mary got us the last point. So once again the score line finished at 5-4. Well done ladies it was a good fight back and a good night. Top average Linda (57.3). Top score was Mary (137) Highest finish was Jean(30). Next week we are in a cup match wish us luck.
|
Thursday 23rd February 2012
The ladies were away to the New Inn last night and once again for the 10th week in row the score line was 5-4.
Linda was very unlucky to lose the 1st game, but both Jackie and Jean won their games putting our noses in front. Carol struggled again this week and lost her game but Hannh did a good job and pulled it back again. Nikki played last but just missed winning the point. So once again at the half way mark we were 3-3,
Nikki and Jean pulled off a well deserved win with some great scoring, but alas the next two games were not destined to be ours and once again we had lost the match
I suppose the constant score line of 5-4 reflects how evenly matched the league is, and as
Amanda, the New Inn captain said last night 5-4 is a nice friendly score for nice friendly teams.
Top Average was Jean (67.2) Top score Nikki (100)

Thursday 16th February 2012
The ladies were away to the Victoria last night and it proved to be a very good game. Mary and Linda got us off to a good start winning both their games. Clare and Nikki played 3rd and 4th but were very unfortunate to lose their games although they did put up a really good fight. Jean played next and after some fantastic scoring scoring brought home a well deserved win. Next Jackie who also had some great scores but was unlucky to get beaten on double 1. So once again with the scores at 3-3 we went into the doubles.
Jean and Hannah played 1st but although they had amazing scores they lost the game (thats the way with darts sometimes). Pat and Jackie next and they couldn't get the double either. So we had lost the match it was just up to Carol and Nikki to get a point for the honour of the Falcon, (5-4 is a much better score line than 6-3.). Carol did it finishing on double 8. So once again with a score of 5-4 we had lost the game. We really wanted to win as we didn't want our names on the Victoria chalkboard as losers, although we did notice they only write the scores on if they win. Never mind ladies it was a good close game even if we did lose.
Next week we are away to the New Inn, once again wish us luck.
|
Thursday 26th January 2012
The ladies were at home last night to the Duke of York and no prizes for guessing what the score was. Yes 5-4 to the Duke.
The singles were very even with Jean, Nikki an Mary all winning their games so with the acores at 3-3 after the singles we were hopeful for a win with the doubles. Julie and Linda were unlucky to lose their first game but then Carol and Pat lost the second game so we had lost the match. Fortunately, our dream team Nikki and Hannah got picked to play the last doubles game together and of course they won making a more respectable scoreline. Top average was Jean 47.6 top scorer was Falcon landlady Julie 94 and highest finish was Nikki on 16. we don't have a match next week but the week
after we are at Brands Club.
|
Thursday 19th January 2012
The ladies were away to the Hare and Hounds on Thursday and once again for the 7th week running the score was 5-4, this time
to the Falcon got the 5 points, so well done ladies.
Jackie was up 1st and won her game finishing with 11. Next up was Clare who is finding her form again and won the next game. Pat was very unlucky in the 3rd and lost the point but then Jean and Nikki came in 4th and 5th getting both points. Mary had a very even game both wanting double 4 to finish but unfortunately she just missed out. So the scores were 4-2 going into the doubles.
Jean and Carol were up first and although Jean played brilliantly, captain Carol was again way off the mark and they lost their game. Next up was Mary and Hannah, we had really missed Hannah the previous week as she had had to go home poorly but she really made up for it this week she had an average of 86.5 (wow) and won the game and the match for us. Last up was Clare and Jackie, both had a great game but the Hare and Hounds ladies got to the double first. So with a win under our belts we came away happy and looking forward to our home march next week against the Duke of York. We hope Linda will be well enough for this match. Top average was Hannah (86.5) Top scorer was Hannah (121) and Highest finish Hannah (15) well done

Thursday 12th January 2012
The ladies were at home to The ladies of the Blue Bell last night and once again we lost with a score of 5-4, yes I know its getting a bit boring now but I'm sure we can turn it around before the end of the season.
We started well with Jean winning the 1st game but then next up was Carol who couldn't hit a barn door and she lost the 2nd leg. Nikki and Clare were both narrowly beaten in the 3rd and 4th games. Unfortunately our secret weapon Hannah had had to go home poorly so Mary played the the 5th game and got us a win and Jackie got us another point in the 6th game. So once again the score was 3-3 going into the pairs, and once again we only got 1 more point which was scored by Linda. The scoring was good and the atmosphere and banter between the two teams was excellent, so we did have a good night all in all. Linda was top average (63.7) Mary top score (111) and Linda again was highest finish (14).
Away to The Hare and Hounds next week wish us luck
|
Thursday 5th January 2012
The ladies were away at Leven Club last night and we had a really good night. First up was Pat who
got down to a finish was just pipped at the post. Next up was Carol who got the point finishing on double 1. Our pocket rocket, Hannah, was next and once again she didn't let us down bringing in the point. Linda and Jackie played 3rd and 4th but unfortunately although they both scored well they both missed out on the points. Last up in the singles was Nikki who again won her game making the scores 3-3 going into the doubles.
Unfortunately although we managed to get one more point in the doubles we once again managed to finish with a score line of 4-5 to Leven Club.
We are home to Blue Bell on Thursday, why not come in and give us some support.
|
Thursday 15th Dec 2011
The ladies were hosts to the George and Dragon this week and what a
good game they gave us. Jackie got us off to a good start by winning
the first point, the george got the next but both Mary and Carol won
the 3rd and 4th games. The George won the 5th game but we got the
points in the 6th by default, making the scores 4-2 to the Falcon
going into the doubles.
Hannah and Pat played the first doubles game but were unlucky to
lose the point. Carol and Linda were up, Linda finished on double 1
to give us the point we needed to win the match. Mary and Jackie
were up next but were unfortunately pipped at the post by Cheryl who
is the George and Dragon's captain. All credit to Cheryl as she came
with only 5 players and had to play the last game on he own and
still managing to pull it off. Nice one ladies, a good night was had
by all.
|
Thursday 8th Dec 2011
The ladies were at the Ex-Servicemen's Club this week and they put
up a really good fight even though they only had six bare players.
Unfortunately I was laid sick and so I am not able to give a blow by
blow account of the proceedings but I can tell you that Clare really
came up trumps this week and got the team 2 points, also getting us
some points was Jean and Hannah. The averages were very good but the
team were beaten 5-4. The top avearge was Clare (57.7), top score
was Pat (109 with 3 darts). Sorry it's brief but see you all at home
next week when we play the Georoge and Dragon.
|
Thursday 1st Dec 2011
The ladies were hosts to the Black Swan this week and it looked as
if we were going to have a repeat of last week's game. Once again we
lost the first four games and also once again, Hannah and Jean won
the next two games. This meant again that we were losing 4-2 after
the individuals. Hannah and Pat played in the first doubles game and
they won with Pat finishing on double 1. Jackie and Julie played
next, this time Jackie finishing to win the game. So going into the
final game with the scores at 4-4 we needed to win. Alas, lady luck
deserted us this time and we lost the last game, so with a score of
5-4 to the Black Swan, we live to fight another day. Next week we
are away to the Ex-Serviceman's Club. Top average - Jackie (72.6),
top score - Jean (97)
and highest finish - Jean (18).

Thursday 24th Nov 2011
The ladies were away to Brandsburton Club A last night and with only
six players and remembering the thrashing we got by the same team
last week, we were not hopeful that we would get a good result.
Our first four players got well and truly beaten and we thought it
was really going to be a whitewash, however Jean played the fifth
game and got us our first win of the evening, finishing on double
16. Next up was our pocket rocket Hannah who also won by finishing
on double 16. So things were not looking too bad after the
individuals with the score at 4-2 to Brands A, but we still had a
tall order to win all three doubles matches.
First up was Carol and Nikki who were getting really trounced all
the way through, when Brands ladies were on a finish of double 5 the
Falcon ladies still needed 211, but Carol went up a scored 74
followed by Nikki who scored 96 with Carol winning the game with a
41 finish. Next up was Jean and Clare who got us another point, Jean
finishing on double 13. So against the odds we went into the final
game with the score level at 4-4. Last up was mother and daughter
team, Linda and Hannah, once again Hannah brought home the point
giving us a final score of 5-4 to the Falcon.
Good work ladies and thank you to the Brands Club who gave us a
really good night.
Top average - Jean (57.8), highest score - Nikki (96) and highest
finish - Carol (41)

Thursday 17th Nov 2011
The ladies were at home to Brandsburton A last night in a cup match
and came away with a very disappointing loss. No excuses, we played
well but the Brands A team really lived up to their name and
thoroughly thrashed us. The only good thing was that it was quick
and painless, to add insult to injury we have to play them again
next week on their own stamping ground in the league, lets hope we
can bring home a few points for the Falcon, wish us luck.
|
Thursday 10th Nov 2011
The ladies were at home last night to the Brandsburton Club B in the
first round of the Cindy Stannicliffe Cup. A cup match consists of 5
doubles games each of 3 legs, the winners being the first to win 3
games. We got off to a disappointing start with Mary and Jacky
losing the first game in two straight legs, although they both got
some excellent scores. Next up was Nikki and Pat, they also lost
their game although pat did win one leg. So we needed to win the
next three games or we would be out of the cup in the first round.
There was only one thing for it, the captain had to get up a show
them how to do it. Captain Carol and Linda played the third game and
really excelled bringing us our first win of the night, Carol
winning both points. Next up was out Pocket Rocket Hannah and her
partner Clare, once again Hannah did not let us down and won the
first leg, this was quickly followed by Clare who is coming back to
form and won the second leg and so winning out second game. So it
was all down to the last game with Jean and Jacky playing for us. No
problem, Jean finished in two straight legs, making a win by 3-2 to
the Falcon Ladies. Good show ladies, excellent scoring this week
with scores of over 100 by Nikki, Carol and Jackie. Top average was
Jean (57.8), highest finish was by Carol (45) and the highest score
was by Jackie (133). Next week back to the league at home to
Brandsburton Club A, wish us luck.

Thursday 3rd Nov 2011
The ladies were away to the New Inn this week in the first round of
the Gill Dodds Cup. A disappointing night for all of us as they beat
us in three straight legs. The ladies did, however, put up a good
fight, both Linda and Claire managing to get a finish, but the New
Inn were a formidable opponent. They did provide an excellent supper
and the New Inn captain Amanda is always good value for a night out.
Nikki was top average with 50.1 and top three dart scorer with 121.
Oh well ladies, onward and upward, next week it is the first round
of the Cindy Stannicliffe Cup next week in which we meet
Brandesburton B but this time on home ground, wish us luck.
|
Thursday 27th Oct 2011
The ladies entertained the Board Inn (Skipsea) last night, it was a
fun night even if it ended a bit disappointingly. First up was Carol
who failed to notch up a win. Next was our superstar Hannah, who
once again came up to the mark and won her game, we lost the next
three games by sheer bad luck but Jackie did manage to win the last
game of the individuals to leave a score of 4-2 going into the
doubles. We needed to win all three of the doubles games but sadly
won none, giving us a final score of 7-2 to the Board Inn. Ah well,
c'est la view, better luck next week. Top average Mary (56,1), top
score with three darts was Hannah (98) and the highest finish was
Jackie (36).
Next week it is the first round of the cup, I have evry confidence
in the team, I'm sure we can pull it off, wish us luck.
|
Thursday 20th Oct 2011
The ladies were away to the Pike and Heron this week. We didn't get
off to the best of starts with Jackie, Jean and Mary losing the
first three games, they were all close games but that's the way it
goes in ladies darts. Carol managed to win the fourth leg but then
Pat dropped the fifth, leaving Hannah once again to come up to the
mark and win the last game of singles. Pat has played really well
this season but just couldn't find her spot this week. Hannah is
fast becoming our superstar, in the seven games she has played she
has won five of them. So with the scores at 4-2 to the Pike and
Heron we needed to win all three doubles games. Both Nikki and Jacky
then Mary and Jean didn't disappoint, Jacky finishing the first and
Jean the second. It all came down to the last leg, but unfortunately
luck ran out for Linda and Nikki and they were narrowly beaten. So
once again the score was 5-4 to the Pike and Heron. Top average was
Carol with 56.1, the highest score was Hannah (100) and the highest
finish was Jean with 17. Next week we are at home to the Board Inn.
|
Thursday 13th Oct 2011
The ladies were at home again this week, they were playing the New
Inn, Leven. They always give us a good game and we always have a
good night as they are a lot of fun. Linda, our top average from
last week, was first up, she was up against a fantastic player and
couldn't match her scores, she was beaten even though she had played
really well. Next up was our captain, who when it came to scoring,
couldn't hit a barn door, she was up against another good player who
was wiping the floor with her until she managed to fluke it into the
double and make the score 1-1. Hannah was next up followed by Mary,
unfortunately they both lost, but Jean played next and managed to
pull one back. Julie played sixth and she also lost, so with the
score at 4-2 to the New Inn, we had to win all of our doubles
games.
Pat and Hannah were up first and although they both played really
well they couldn't pull it off. Linda and Clare were up next and
also couldn't find form although they are both usually excellent
players. Last up and our only hope of making the score a bit
respectable were Jackie and Mary, at last we had a winner, good
girls. Final score was 6-3 to the New Inn, although we lost we had a
super night with lots of laughs which is really what it is all
about. Top average was Jean who also had the highest finish. Next
week we are away to the Pike and Heron.
|
Thursday 6th Oct 2011
The ladies were at home to The Victoria this week and they gave us a
really good run for our money. We were very confident after our win
last week and as Linda got us off to a good start by winning the 1st
game we were even more bouyant. Unfortunately the Vic had other
ideas and won the next five games! We didn't play at all badly it's
just that the opposition played better. So going into the doubles
with a score of 5-1 to the Vic we were a little dejected but I think
we knew we had to win at least another game to make the score
respectable. Nikki and Jean played forst and we were delighted when
Nikki finished on double 14. Mary and Carol played next and after
some good scoring by both teams Mary managed to get double 1 to
finish. Last up was Hannah and Linda, they were both on good form,
Hannah brought in the highest score of the night with 121 and Linda,
who had already won us the first game, came in again with a
fantastic finish of 42. Well done ladies, we didn't win but a good
night was had by all. Final score 5-4 to The Victoria. Next week we
are at home to the New Inn. Why not come and support us, if nothing
else you could win the raffle.

Thursday 29th Sept 2011
The ladies were at home to Brandsburton Club B last night and they
were well on form. With three players away on holiday and one ill we
were worried we might struggle playing with the bare six. However
never to worry. Nikki, then Jean, then Mary, then Carol and finally
Julie all won their games, giving a score after the singles of 6-0
to the Falcon. Mary and Carol started the doubles and let down the
side a bit by losing, but then Jean and Nikki were next up and Nikki
finished on double 9. Last up was Linda and Julie, Linda finishing
on double 2, giving a final score of 8-1 to the Falcon. All the
games were very close and a good night was had by all. Top average
was Mary with 44.3.
|
Thursday 22nd Sept 2011
The ladies were away to The Duke of York this week, they are a good team and we usually have a good game with them. We got off to a disappointing start with Linda and Mary both losing their games, although it was close all the way through. Jean then got us a good 1st point finishing on double 1 and then Carol got the 4th game also finishing on double 1. Nikki was unlucky to lose her game after getting some good scores, but then we pulled out our secret weapon, Hannah, who won the 6th game and got us our 3rd point.
So it couldn't have been closer with a score of 3-3 going into the doubles. First up was Carol and Hannah and once again Hannah got us the point (in the 3 games we have played this season Hannah has got us 5 points. Well done. Jean and Nikki were narrowly beaten in the next game, so it was all on Linda and Clare to win us the match, unfortunately it wasn't to be so with a final score of 5-4 to the Duke, the ladies live to fight another day. Top average was Jean. Next week we are at home to Brandsburton B.
|
Thursday 15th Sept 2011
The ladies played their second match of the season last night,
they were up against the Hare and Hounds who are a really good team
and so we didn't expect to win, but we did win. It was a great
match, 9 very close games and a lot of fun.
Pat was first up to the oche and she did brilliantly, bring out some
very good scores but was just pipped at the post. Second up was
Hannah who did us proud and got us our first point of the evening.
Next it was Jean who also got us a point, followed by Nikki who got
our 3rd win. Next up was our top average player from last week,
Mary, great stuff, she got us another point. next up it was the
captain's turn who made a stupid mistake and lost the next point,
very disappointing. So after the individuals we were winning 4-2.
Into the pairs, Jackie and Pat started us off but were very narrowly
beaten. Clare and Linda played second, who despite putting in some
very good scores were also beaten by a whisker. Last up, and
throwing for the match, was Hannah and Mary, what a combination,
Hannah pulled it off again in brilliant style giving a final score
of 5-4 to the Falcon. It was a really good night and we all look
forward to meeting the girls again in the return match.
|
Thursday 8th Sept 2011
Well it's the start of a new season for the ladies and got off to a
cracking start at the Blue Bell, Old Ellerby, last night. Linda was
up first but was narrowly beaten, next up was Hannah who played well
and won the second leg. Nikki and Carol played the 3rd and 4th, both
got some good scores and both won. Unfortunately, Jakie lost the 5th
but Jean pulled us back by winning the 6th. So after the individuals
we were winning 4-2.
So Carol and Clare started the doubles, they really made hard work
of it and lost. Next up was Jackie and Mary, after some stunning
scoring they struggles to get double 1 and very nearly lost, but
Mary eventually managed to get it. Nikki and Pat were up last,
bringing in a convincing win, Pat getting the double. It was a fun
night, although there was serious incident with Andrea and a piece
of chalk and also Racael got quite frustrated with the scoring which
resulted in clouting Carol over the head with the scoring board! It
was decided that a brain injury was out of the question and Carol
settled 'out of court' with first pick of the sandwiches. Thanks to
the ladies a good night was had by all, especially as the final
score was 6-3 to the Falcon. Next week we are at home to the Hare
and Hounds, see you all there.
